Susan L. Crockin, JD
Susan L. Crockin, JD, is principal of the Crockin Law & Policy Group, LLC in Newton, MA and an adjunct Professor of Ob/Gyn at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). She has taught bioethics, law and policy courses at Northeastern U. School of Law, Tufts University and EVMS’ Masters Embryology Course. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Vincent Fertility Center at Mass. General Hospital. Her firm, established in 1988, was one of the first in the nation to focus on the legal aspects of the reproductive technologies, and currently consults to and represents ART related entities and individuals nation-wide. Ms. Crockin has published and lectured extensively in the field, including editing two books, and authoring multiple chapters and articles. Her third book, co-authored with Dr. Howard W. Jones, Jr., “Legal Conceptions: The Evolving Law and Policy of Assisted Reproductive Technologies”, will be published in 2010 by Johns Hopkins Press. She also authors “Legally Speaking”®, a quarterly national legal column she created in 1990. Ms. Crockin received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her B.A. from Tufts University, summa cum laude. |
