DESCRIPTION:
The reconstruction of a novel human genome after fertilization is now recognized ot involve a series of genetic and epigenetic modifications that have become clinically aligned with a diagnosis of “abnormality”. This talk will integrate the latest science of early human development with existing and emergent technologies aimed at evaluating embryo quality.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this program, the participant should be able to:

1.       Review recent molecular genetic studies on human embryo cell cycle control

2.       Describe the evidence for genotype self correction during human embryo development

3.       Explain how genetic and epigenetic mosaicism promote embryo survival and growth
