All open positions for 2012 are listed below.  Nominations are accepted from active members of the NEFS only.  The Secretary, Vice President, and Executive Member-at-Large are appointed by the incoming president.  The following elective positions need to be filled for the upcoming 2012 term.

President-Elect:  The President-Elect will serve a one-year term as President-Elect and ultimately will succeed to President the following term and then sit for one year as the outgoing President. This is a three-year responsibility (2012-2014). The responsibilities of the President-Elect are to learn about the all the responsibilities of President and the society.  Other responsibilities include serving as the Academic Chair for the Annual all day meeting that falls in the year that the President is active.

Member-at-Large, Maine:  The Member-at-Large, ME will serve a 2-year term (2012-2013).  The responsibilities of the member-at-large, ME is to represent the ME members and to be an active participant in all board responsibilities. I nominate the following for Member at Large ME:

Member-at-Large, Vermont:  The Member-at-Large, VT will serve a 2-year term (2012-2013). The responsibilities of the member-at-large, VT is to represent the VT members and to be an active participant in all board responsibilities. I nominate the following for Member at Large VT:

Member-at-Large, Industry:  The Industry Member-at-Large will serve a 1-year term (2012).  The responsibilities of the industry member-at-large are to represent the industry members and to be an active participant in all board responsibilities. Please submit your nominations no later than Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 to Michelle Picher via the submit button ONLY. This will allow the Nomination/Election Committee enough time to confirm that only active/paid members have been submitted for the above positions and all candidates are notified, are asked if they accept this nomination, and that they fully understand the responsibilities of the position they have been nominated to fill.  The Nominations Committee will choose a slate of nominees to be chosen from the nominations submitted by the members. Members will receive the ballot, sent via email, no later than October 28, 2011. The deadline for submission of the vote will be November 16, 2011 to allow the Nomination/Election Committee enough time to assure ballot accuracy and to inform the candidates of the results prior to the last meeting.  The 2012 Election Process ends December 7, 2011 with the announcement of newly elected officers at the last Quarterly Meeting.  The results will also be posted on www.nefs.org under Members, Election Results 2012 new executive board members.
